Sergio Hernandez

Sergio Hernandez is a voice teacher and musical theater coach who serves students and clients in Morris County, NJ and online. Sergio is a recitalist, chorister, musical theater singer, and soloist who has performed in concerts throughout New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. He is also a tenor for the English and Spanish Choirs at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark, NJ. Sergio is an avid reader of vocal literature, lover of all dogs, and a practitioner of hot yoga. In his vocal teaching, Sergio aims to help his voice students sing from a place of joy and total use of their body and instrument. He hopes to provide his students with vocal and mental resources that allow them to use a voice that is clear, artistic, and without worries of performance anxiety or vocal injury interfering with their genuine desire to be heard as they would like to be. He is a teacher of Classical, Musical Theater, and Contemporary Commercial Music styles for 13+ students. He is currently enrolled in the NYU School for Professional Studies pursuing a Certificate in Vocology in hopes that he can work with professional voice users who wish to learn everything about their vocal instruments and how to give those vocal instruments the greatest care.
